How Lifestyle Brands Help Make Us Feel Like Our Most Authentic Selves and How Words Drive That Belief

We’re all trying our best. Every single one of us. With our daily activities and tasks, life comes at you fast. It’s hard for you, as one person, to be able to juggle absolutely everything. Especially in the workplace.

Maybe you’re a lifestyle brand owner. Maybe you want to drive your sales and consumer interaction, but you’re just unsure of how to do so. How do you try and get your consumers inspired with your product when it comes to your lifestyle brand? How do you drive sales and create action on the other side of the screen?

This is where a copywriter, like myself, comes into play. A copywriter can change your brand’s whole image with the impact of words, creating a drive to sell your product.

It is amazing how impactful our words are. Just think of how often you remember a compliment someone gave you at random or the nice words a colleague said to you about a completed project. Words drive, inspire, and have impacts that sometimes we don’t even realize ourselves.

Words are important and they shouldn’t be ignored.

What is a lifestyle brand?

This is something I had to ask myself on my journey to becoming a copywriter. I was looking to find my niche and wondering what my ideal clients looked like and that’s when it hit me: lifestyle brands are my ideal client.

To put it simply, a lifestyle brand is a business offering a product that directly aligns with how their ideal consumer/customer wants to portray themselves to the world. For example, Apple is a huge lifestyle brand. How you may ask? They market their products to people who appreciate the sleek, minimal design while also appealing to the people who want to keep up with the latest and most forward-designed technology products.

Lifestyle brands aren’t only trying to sell you a product — they’re trying to appeal to you a way of living, a way of being, a way of expressing yourself in this world. Lifestyle brands really inspire their consumers to live life a certain way that appeals to them personally.

Maybe you want to be the type of person who loves plants. Then, you’d seek out a shop that offers plants for purchase. Once you buy a plant, you have now become the type of person who loves and owns a plant. The place you bought your plant from spoke to you and you were their ideal customer.

Lifestyle brands tailor themselves to the type of person and experience their desired audience wants. Whether that be a certain aesthetic, product, or way of living — through clear branding and marketing, they want their values to align with their customer’s values. The magic within lifestyle branding is that these brands help us connect to the ideal version of ourselves.

This is why copywriting is essential to YOUR lifestyle brand. Telling the story of your lifestyle brand through writing could do wonders for your business. Allow someone else to take the workload off your hands and help you out. A specialist in lifestyle brands, like myself, is all it takes to help give your brand that extra push and you’ll soon see the results.

Words are effective. Words are important. And using them to help tell the story of your lifestyle brand will only help your ideal consumer not only trust you but feel more connected to you. We all crave connection in this world, whether we’d like to admit it or not. Words are just another way of making that connection real.

Pay attention to the world around you and you’ll notice just how many of your favorite products you use every day could be linked back to a lifestyle brand. From your favorite sunglasses, to your favorite pair of shoes, the headphones you wear on your way to work, the book you’re currently reading — the list is endless.

I’ll end with this quote from Rumi, the poet.

“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”

Let words be of use to you, your business, and your audience, and watch the positives roll in. Let your words connect and see how they connect you, taking you exactly where you want to be.
